WELCOME DAY 1 ~ Friday afternoon welcome drinks and dinner at the villa with introductions by Hanli & Roushanna.

ADVENTURE DAY 2  ~ Saturday morning will start with a delicious healthy breakfast followed by a breath work session with Hanli, preparing you for the day’s diving. We will make our way to a beautiful secluded spot to practice our deeper freediving, working on equalisation and bottom time. After the freediving training, we will enjoy a lunch on the rocks, catered for by our wild chef. Roushanna will then brief us on how to work with our freediving skills to mindfully gather an array of intertidal and underwater ingredients which will later be used in our evening meal creation. After a fun afternoon of freediving and foraging, we will return to the villa for some down time and rest, and then prepare and share a gorgeous celebratory foraged feast together with recipe demos, a three-course meal and botanical cocktails.

ADVENTURE DAY 3 ~ On Sunday morning we will again prepare for our day with breakfast and breath work, before travelling to a special wild stretch of our southern peninsula for a guided freediving and foraging session. Lunch will be prepared by the group using our gathered ingredients, cooked over fire and enjoyed overlooking the ocean. After our meal we will head back to the villa for farewell and gifts.

You will be hosted at an oceanside villa at Boulders Beach. This rambling historical homestead offers beautiful rooms, wide open shared spaces and ample garden space for our morning breathwork sessions. The wide balconies with expansive ocean views will be our base for preparing our foraged feasts.

Each day we will make our way deeper into the ocean where we will gently forage for edible seaweeds and shellfish. While our beautiful coastline is abundant with food, we will be foraging sustainably and regeneratively, focusing only on the seaweed that is prolific in the area and the non-indigenous mussel species, stressing how to treat our wildlife with respect.

On top of acquiring the skills to deepen your freediving practice and discover the wildly delicious world of coastal foraging, you will also learn about the marine ecosystems of False Bay and the challenges and success stories along our coastline. We will host this course from legal pick zones (Non MPA areas) with valid mollusc permits.
