I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT SHARING THE OCEAN.
Whether it’s on our OCEAN TRAVEL trips to pristine destinations around the world, close to home in Cape Town or through the work we do with the I AM WATER Foundation - seeing someone grow in their love for the sea and their comfort in water fills me with joy!
Check out OCEAN TRAVEL for upcoming freediving trips, or email me for dates and rates for Cape Town courses.
Peter and I have hosted a number of bespoke family and individual freediving courses and experiences, get in touch if this interests you.
September 2025 we will be traveling to Avani Fares in the Maldives to host freediving and breathwork courses, celebrate World Manta Day and form part of their inspirational PADI Aware Week line up! Come join us there - more below.
Hope to see you in the water!

Join us at Avani+ Fares Maldives this September!
I’ve been longing to return to the Maldives for many years. I had my first ever manta ray encounters here and the beauty of the islands, the corals and the water is still very high on my ‘best of’ list. For most of September, Peter and the kids and I will be residents of this beautiful water country, exploring, learning, teaching and playing in the blue.
Peter and I will be hosting a freediving retreat in the deep blue water of the Baa Atoll. We will be hosted by Avani+ Fares Maldives (named Best Dive Resort in the Maldives 2024) who are teaming up with PADI this September to host the 8th annual PADI AWARE Week.
As part of PADI Aware Week 12th - 21st September, you can join us for freediving training, breathwork sessions and a trip to iconic Hanifaru Bay to see the staggering aggregations of reef manta rays and whale sharks.
The resort will be the center of a global gathering of ocean lovers, conservationists, and adventurers for PADI Aware Week.
Here’s what makes it special:
Guests at the resort can join all the PADI AWARE Week activities for free.
Want to scuba with manta rays or try freediving? You can.
Interested in helping with marine conservation projects or learning how to clean up the ocean safely? There’s a course for that.
And on World Manta Day (Sept 17), they’re running the PADI Manta Ray Awareness Specialty Course, followed by a snorkel trip to Hanifaru Bay—a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the best places on Earth to swim with mantas.
I’ve always believed that travel should leave a place better than you found it, and this feels like the perfect way to explore responsibly. Beautiful location, meaningful experiences, and a chance to give back to the ocean? Count me in.
So if you’ve been dreaming of a trip that combines luxury, adventure, and purpose—maybe I’ll see you in the Baa Atoll this September.
